Cynthia Vazquez-Gonzalez

Cynthia Vazquez is an Academic Counselor at Glendale Community College. She is both the Embedded Counselor for the Business Division and the new Persistence Counselor for Adelante with Title V. She also has a temporary role serving as a Job Developer at the College of the Canyons Career Center. Being a first-generation college student and having the value to give back inspired her to become an Academic Counselor. Educational background: Associate Degree for Transfer in Sociology from Glendale Community College, Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and minor in Spanish from UCLA, Master’s of Science degree in Counseling with an emphasis in College Counseling and Student Services from CSUN, and Career Education and Counseling Certificate from CSUN.
